Building of our new koihouse has begun!
Yoshikigoi Farm is in the midst of building a brandnew koihouse. The new koihouse which will be home of the Yoshikigoi during the cold winters will be built in 4 stages.
Stage one is almost finished by now. The entire koihouse will be no less than 100 x 18 meters and will contain approximately 1.700.000 liters of water. This is on top of the 500.000 liters we already have now!
Stage one is only about a quarter of the entire new koihouse. Therefor stage one contains 8 ponds of 50.000 liters en covers about 40×10 meters of the farm. The pictures below will provide you with some visual insights. While we are writing this article the only thing that needs to be done is fix the roof over the koihouse. After that we can turn up the heat and let the Yoshikigoi grow on during the cold winter.
